 *Uttarakhand Forest Training Academy, Haldwani (UFTA, Uttarakhand)* About- Uttarakhand Forestry Training Academy (UFTA) is imparting wide array of training to wide spectrum of candidates. It was established in 1979 as a part of Uttar Pradesh Forest Department. The administration of the academy is headed by an officer of the Indian Forest Services (IFS), of the rank of Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF). Number of Deputy Directors, both from Indian Forest Services. Forest Guard - The forest staff is trained on Induction, Prompotion,Refresher and On-The-Job. Induction training of Forest Guards is held for six months in which 187 theory classes, 68 practical classes and 65 days of touring is conducted. There are 9 major subjects for training:Silviculture 1&2, Forest Protection & Law, Survey Accounts & Procedure, Community Forestry and Environmental Conservation.
